Councillor Michael Baker was born, brought up and schooled in North Norfolk. After university he worked in industry becoming a Chartered Engineer. He then returned to Norfolk to run the family business. He is a member of Rotary International, having previously been a Round Tabler. He has chaired the Holt and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and has served as a member of Holt Town Council for many years. Councillor Baker has a daughter, Felicity.
