What is Council Tax Benefit?

Council Tax Benefit is a payment you might be entitled to if you are on a low income to help cover some or all of your Council Tax charge. Any benefit awarded is paid to your Council Tax account. In the event of a partial award you will receive a bill from the Council Tax department for the remainder.
