North Norfolk Business Forum

North Norfolk Business ForumNorth Norfolk Business Forum

North Norfolk District Council is pursuing the Economic Development Strategy (to 2007), which identifies the need to develop a supportive relationship to assist businesses across the District. The need has been echoed by North Norfolk's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), and is part of the Community Strategy (2004 to 2009).

Prioritised within the Community Strategy is the facilitation of a unified business led and representative body to act for the benefit of District interests. It will be founded on research in to successful working models, and recommendations, which apply best practice approaches, and deliver added value to all stakeholders involved.

Drawing business together, and opening a forum for communication, nkm.m.aims to increase the level of successful enterprise amidst an ever changing and challenging environment. The level of active involvement will determine the body's success and sustainability. The role of business participants will reflect their stake, from setting the agenda through to delivery.

Our Mission

North Norfolk Business Forum (NNBF) brings businesses together to find collective ways to help our District's economy thrive, and to tackle the problems faced, for the wellbeing of the community.

Our Objectives

  • Get a better understanding of our strengths and weaknesses, so we can see and seize opportunities, and avoid or overcome threats;
  • Support and learn from each other, and make the most of the identified support available from business and development agencies, so we can be more competitive;
  • Help train local people to do the jobs we need done, for their sake and ours;
  • Raise the profile of North Norfolk businesses locally, regionally, nationally and internationally;
  • Work together to attract more inward investment, and make stronger bids for funding;
  • Pool our skills and knowledge to tackle the legal, economic and human complexities of running a business;
  • Influence and advise politicians and other decision makers, including planners;
  • Recognise and understand our role in the wider North Norfolk community, so we can benefit from it and give benefits to it, all-year-round.
