Area Forums

These are meetings between the three tiers of local government (Parish/Town, District and County Council) to improve how we talk and work together. They are designed to make sure that all parishes have an equal chance to get involved and voice their opinions. This will result in real changes to the way we work together now and in the future.

Who decides on the discussion topics?
We ask prior to the event  for Parish & Town Clerks to raise this at their Town/Parish meetings, the suggestions are then fed back to us and the agenda set.

Due to low attendance numbers in last years round of forums we have consolidated the previous 7 rounds of meetings into three rounds, which cover North Norfolk. These are:

Fakenham, Wells and surrounding areas:-

Thursday 17th June 2010 - 6-9pm Fakenham Community Centre

Holt, Sheringham, Cromer and surrounding areas:-

Thursday 24th June 2010 - 1-4pm Holt Community Centre

North Walsham, Stalham and surrounding areas:-

 Tuesday 6th July 2010 - 6-9pm North Walsham Community Centre

Also to Incude: 'Face The People' (First hour of each meeting)

This year we have also decided to include a 'Face the People' section in the meeting (the time deicated to this if the first hour of each Forum meeting). This is open to all residents in North Norfolk who will get the chance to tell the Community Safety Partnership their own local crime and disorder issues and ask how they will be tackled. The Community Safety Partnership representatives will include:-

• Police Authority
• Fire Service
• NHS Norfolk
• Probation Service
• Community Safety
