You can do this to the Listing Officer at the Norwich Valuation Office (you will need to get a form from the Listing Officer at the address shown below). You have six months to register your appeal against the banding, after the date you bought, leased or rented the property. If the Listing Officer does not agree with your appeal or if there is no written agreement or no decision is made at the end of six months, the Listing Officer must refer your proposal to a valuation tribunal as a formal appeal. You can only appeal if you own the property or you have to pay the Council Tax (for example you are the tenant). Chargeable properties If your property is chargeable, you will get a Council Tax bill. You may think that your property or the one you live in is not a chargeable property so you do not need to pay Council Tax. If so, you should contact the Council Tax Section, North Norfolk District Council, Council Offices, Holt Road, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9EN, or telephone the Council Tax Section direct on 01263 516071. For more information on exempt properties click here. Who pays the bill? If your property is chargeable and we have sent you a Council Tax bill in your name, you may appeal against the bill if you disagree with our decision that you should pay Council Tax. You may disagree with the amount of the bill, for example, if you think someone in your household should get a discount and we have not given them one. Or, if you live on your own but you are being billed for the full amount. Or, if you feel that there should have been a reduction in the bill because you, or someone living with you needs extra facilities because they have a disability. If you want to appeal on one of the points above, you must write to us saying what you disagree with and why. Our Address is: We have two months to make a decision. If, at the end of the two months,
