Food Hygiene Courses and Safer Food Better Business Training
Training for Food Businesses
- have a written food safety management system that details all the checks needed to ensure the food they sell is safe and
- make sure all their staff are trained in food hygiene to a level appropriate to their job.
Food businesses with a written food safety management system and properly trained staff get more stars in our "Scores on the Doors" food hygiene rating scheme.

Safer Food Better Business Training
Businesses helped design the pack so it is business friendly and easy to use. Hundreds of businesses in Norfolk already use it to make sure the food they sell is safe to eat. They have been helped as part of two Food Standards Agency projects run by local councils.
We can help managers, chefs and other supervisory staff adapt, fill in and use the pack. This is particularly important for new businesses, new managers of existing businesses or if you want to make sure your SFBB pack is being used properly.
To find out more contact the Commercial Team on (01263) 516008 or the officer who carried out your last food hygiene inspection. One to one coaching can then take place at your business. This is provided as part of our ongoing commitment to support local businesses by helping them comply with the law and provide safe food.
