Older PeopleNorfolk County Council's Social Services department provide services for older people throughout the county. Visit the Norfolk County Council website for details of the types of help they provide as well as contact details and links to their leaflets. Careline is a 24 hour personal alarm network that helps people remain independent and live in their own home but with help on hand if needed. www.ageconcernsheringham.co.uk Age Concern Sheringham offers support to older people living in Sheringham and the surrounding area, by providing day care in a friendly, informal atmosphere. In addition to Day Care, we provide a Dial A Ride transport service, a Capacity and Access Team to help people stay safe and well in their own home plus general advice and support to older people. Age Concern Norfolk provide resources and services for older people, their families and carers including professionals working with older people across Norfolk. Their website contains details of local groups in Norfolk. Age Concern cares about all older people and believes later life should be fulfilling and enjoyable. Action on Elder Abuse is a national UK organisation based in London. It aims to prevent the abuse of older people by raising awareness; encouraging education; promoting research; and collecting and disseminating information.
