Carers

By carers we mean people who look after a relative or friend who need support because of age, physical or learning disability or illness, including mental illness.

Norfolk County Council fund a freephone 24 hour carers helpline 0 808 808 9876 run by the national carers charity, Crossroads, and staffed by trained workers, many of whom have personal experience of caring. More information can also be found on the North East Norfolk and Fakenham & West Norfolk Crossroads Website.

Norfolk County Council Social Services works with unpaid carers.
