We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our forward thinking planning department here at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC).

The suitable candidate for the Major Projects Team post will be responsible for achieving quality planning outcomes and meeting national and local performance targets. Candidates will have a proven record of being responsible for their own caseload of planning applications and related matters. This is a real opportunity for candidates who are committed to delivering a high quality, effective, efficient and customer focused service.

Electoral Services Manager

We are looking for an Electoral Services Manager who will be responsible for the management of the elections team and processes. This would really suit you if you have operational knowledge and understanding of elections and feel ready for your next step. Ideally you will hold the AEA’s Certificate in Electoral Administration but if you don’t, we will support you to get it. Ideally you will also have experience in managing people, however we offer all new managers an Institute in Leadership and Management qualification at level 5.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Operational experience of managing elections
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Strong team leading skills, including the ability to motivate your team
  • High levels of IT proficiency and a drive to go digital.

Coaches and Volunteers wanted!

Our Community Sports Team is seeking North Norfolk based sports coaches and activity instructors to join its coach register.  Coaches on the register will be utilised as and when the need arises to help to deliver the Community Sports Teams current and future provision of sporting and physical activity opportunities to the community.  We would be delighted to hear from anybody who wishes to be included on this register.

We are also seeking to add to our pool of volunteers and would love to hear from anybody who may be interested in helping us to deliver our service to the community on a voluntary basis.  A volunteer role with us would suit those who are looking to gain experience in the sports and leisure industry and people with a strong belief in community and community based activities.

Please note volunteers will be required to undertake a satisfactory criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).
