Temporary Staff Register for NNDC

Moving into the area? Or looking for work on a temporary basis? Looking for flexible hours of work? Looking to broaden your experiences in a different working environment?

Then .... we need you!

The Council operates a temporary register from which managers (internally) can select temporary staff to fill temporary vacancies within their section.

What areas of work are most in demand on the register?

The main area of work from the register is for Administrative/Clerical staff.

How does the process work?

Managers will go through the register and select applications from individuals who closely match the skills and experiences they are looking for. Those individuals will then be asked to come in for a chat which could lead to temporary work being offered to them.

How long will I be asked to work?

Depends on your availability and how long the manager needs someone to help out.

What do I have to do to register?

You will need to fill out an application form and send it to us via:

- Post: Organisational Development, North Norfolk District Council,Holt Road,Cromer,NR27 9EN

- Email: hr@north-norfolk.gov.uk - Or in person:to the address shown above

Do I have to state that I am looking for temporary work?

You will need to put on the application form under 'position applied for' that you want your details to be entered onto the temporary register. It also helps if you state whether or not you are looking for full-time and/or part-time work and if you give us the date from which you will be available for work.

How long will my details stay on the file?

Your details will stay on the file for 6 months after which they will be removed from the register unless you have requested otherwise.

Should I list all my skills/qualifications/experiences?

The more information you give us regarding your skills/qualifications/experiences, the easier it is to match you to a vacancy. We would also like to know what computer software you have experience of using.
