On Saturday, June 15, the Council is holding a Makers Market in addition to the existing market at Station Approach Car Park in Sheringham. This market will also coincide with the Sheringham Creative Festival organised by Healthier Sheringham.

The market will be open from 8am until 3pm and will feature a mix of local artists and creative people showcasing their skills and products as well as some live music.

If you are an artist, creative business or a similar trader who would like to have a stall at the market, please contact markets@north-norfolk.gov.uk for more information.

The Sheringham Makers Market is a great way to support the local economy by purchasing handcrafted unique items from independent or smaller local businesses.

Buying from a local business, whether a shop, market stall or charity shop, supports them more than you might imagine - for every £1 spent with a small or medium-sized business, 63p stays in the local economy!

Small local businesses are the largest employers nationally – supporting local businesses supports local jobs.

Cllr Liz Withington, portfolio holder for Community, Leisure and Outreach said:

"It is great to be working with the Creative Sheringham Festival to extend our market offering during the festival with additional spaces for local makers and artists. This is an important part of our local economy to grow and further support North Norfolk's reputation as a hotspot for creativity.

We would like to encourage local artists and creative people to showcase their work and have a stall at the market."
