There are links to several planning related searches on this page:

Planning Applications Search

  • You can view details of planning applications from 1974, scanned decision notices from 1990, and plans and accompanying documents for applications registered from 1st August 2005.
  • Images of most scaled drawings received since the 1st May 2010 may be measured using Adobe Reader extensions. You may need to set Adobe Reader on your PC so that you view the drawing through that and not the browser. Instructions are in this brief guide to using the measuring tool.   See also the more general Planning Portal guide.
  • If the status of an application in the search results list is 'Consultation period' you can comment or respond to a consultation request using an online form. Note that submission details do not appear on the website immediately - this can take two or more days after you make a comment online.

Search Hints

  • Application Quick Search - you don't need to type the full reference - for the new style reference, use YY/nnnn e.g. 09/1234
For the old style reference, use YYYYnnnn e.g. 20051234 (for applications registered up to the 28th October 2009).
  • Search by Address - works best with a partial address like 'High Street Holt'.
A Postcode search may not find all applications for that postcode. We do not recommend using a postcode search.
  • Use the More Search Options at the bottom of the page to search on one or more of Parish, Location or date range, or to search for appeals.

In the Results

  • Consultation expiry date is 21 days after the latest of the Site Notice Date and Press date.
  • Decision Level
Members - Decision will be made by the relevant Development Management Committee.
Delegated - Decision will be made by a Planning Officer.
  • Committee Meeting Date
Please be aware that this date can be changed. To be sure that an application is going to a particular committee, check the agenda  on the Development Committee Pages five working days before the meeting.
  • Consultation for applications received before the 29th October 2009:
    - the list of consultees is not displayed,
    - the Summary of Responses is empty except the total number of interested party representations,
    - the addresses of interested parties who have made representation are displayed.

PLEASE NOTE, for Non Material Amendment applications there is no requirement to publicise the application - despite the wording of the web page.

Search Tree Works Applications and Tree Preservation Orders

Search the Tree Works Register and Tree Preservation Order Register  for details of tree preservation orders (TPOs) created since 1952, as well as applications for:
  • works to trees which are covered by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs)  from 1952

A weekly list of tree works applications is now available at the end of the weekly list of planning applications on the weekly list page.

Search Enforcements or Submit a Suspected Breach of Planning

Search results may include cases with Planning Contravention Notices and Breach of Condition Notices - not all of these are Land Charges.
