Planning Application Forms

We will send Planning Application forms to you, but in your request please specify which of the application forms you require. Use the number from the list of 1APP forms at the bottom of this page.

Your Application

• Please be aware that your application form, accompanying plans and documents will almost certainly be made available for viewing from these web pages.
• We require your signature (unless you are applying online), your application form, application documents, payment, and copies of your plans.
• Forms should be filled in clearly and correctly, and applications should include clear and accurate plans. You should consider using a professional agent to deal with your application - it can make the process smoother for you and for the Council.
• Please do not submit drawings or plans:
  * on semi translucent paper
  * which have a blotchy background
  * with outlines drawn in faint pencil or light grey
  * on a coloured background, especially if the drawing includes colour
  * with several detailed drawings on one A0 sheet (as the scanned image file can be too large for viewing on the web).

Application Forms and Validation Requirements

• These 1APP application forms can be downloaded, printed and filled in manually. (The number preceding the description in the table below, is part of the PDF file name and may help keep track of the forms if you download them. )
• If you need to apply for two consent types, e.g. planning permission and listed building consent, use one of the 'combined' forms. The Council will allocate two application numbers, one for each type of consent.
• The local list of validation requirements is not likely to come into force until June or July to coincide with the anticipated adoption of the Local Development Framework Core Strategy. Those requirements will then be available in the table below.
