Architectural Design GuidanceNorth Norfolk is a district immensely rich in architectural heritage with 81 conservation areas, over 2,200 listed buildings and 100 Scheduled Ancient Monuments. This built heritage is set within an outstanding natural landscape that includes a large Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and 45 miles of coastline. In the historic market towns and resorts of Fakenham, Cromer and North Walsham, the Council's Conservation and Design Team has been at the forefront of community regeneration initiatives where built heritage and conservation has been one of the main catalysts for economic revival and new prosperity.
