  • Licensing Registers

    There are registers on Premises and Club Licences, Temporary Event Notices, Personal Licences, Gambling and Lotteries, Taxis, Boats, Animal Welfare, Body Piercing, Street Trading, Charitable Collections, Caravan Sites, Motor Salvage Operators and Scrap Metal Dealers.

  • Alcohol and Entertainment (Licensing Act 2003)

    The Licensing Act covers sale of alcohol, sale of late night refreshment, regulated entertainment. The four types of licences available are Premises, Club Premises, Temporary Event Notices and Personal Licences.

  • Gambling (Act 2005)

    New legislation gives responsibility to Licensing Authorities (local Councils) to undertake a number of licensing and regulatory functions in relation to gambling premises.

  • Adult Entertainment

    Annual licence required by sex establishments which include Sex Shops and Sex Cinemas.

  • Taxis

    Licences required for Taxi Drivers, Taxi Operators, Vehicles (Hackney Carriage, Private Hire, or Pedicab), and Horse & Cart.

    Also general information for the travelling public and taxi customers.

  • Boats

    Licences for Boat Operators and boats hired out as Day Boats on inland waterways from locations in North Norfolk.

  • Animal Welfare

    Licences required for Animal Boarding, Dangerous Wild Animals, Dog Breeding, Pet Shops, Riding Establishments, and Zoos.

  • Body Piercing

    Registration for the following types of skin piercing: Acupuncture, Tattooing, Ear Piercing and Electrolysis.

  • Trading

    Licences required for Goods and Amenities on the Highway (Cromer only) and certain types of Street Trading. Scrap Metal Dealers and Motor Salvage Operators.

  • Charitable

    Licences required for House to House Collections and Street Collections.

  • Other Types of Licences

    The North Norfolk Safety Advisory Group advises on a number of issues relating to events

  • Caravan Sites

    Licence required by proprietors of caravan sites provided for members of the public. All caravan sites require a site licence except for: those registered with the Caravan Club (CL) with a maximum of 5 pitches; or those registered with the Camping and Caravan Club (CS) with a maximum of 5 touring pitches and 5 tent pitches; or any site in existence prior to 1960.
