Composting

Composting bin imageComposting bin image

Composting - it's nature's way of recycling.

Up to one third of an average households waste can be composted but when this waste is sent to landfill it produces a methane gas which contributes towards global warming.

FACT! Every tonne of biodegradeable waste produces 300-500 cubic metres of landfill gas! By composting at home we can all help to reduce these effects.

Anyone can take part. You don't have to have a big garden or be a keen gardener to make compost. In fact, you can make compost using just kitchen scraps. The finished compost will make an excellent soil improver for your flower beds, vegetable plots and plant containers.

Compost Bin Offer

If you would like to try composting at home why not take advantage of the discounted compost bins offered through Norfolk County Council and WRAP (the Waste & Resources Action Programme). They are available in two sizes: 220 litres and 330 litres costing £17 and £20 respectively. Also available again is the third composter (the KOMP 250) at a price of £40. All include free delivery (terms and conditions apply), and if you order a compost bin you can also purchase a kitchen caddy for £4.

Call 0845 077 0757 or visit www.recyclenow.com for further details and to order your bin today.
