Community Transport

There are a number of community and voluntary transport schemes operating across the county. Community and voluntary transport schemes tend to be operated by volunteers and are designed to meet the needs of people who live in the area. Most schemes are available for everybody to use and many minibuses are also available for group hire. The minibuses used by the schemes are accessible for people in wheelchairs.

The Community Transport Guide for Norfolk (February 2005) (pdf file, 587kb) provides details on the various community and voluntary transport schemes (including dial-a-ride) operating across the county.

A map with details of community transport programmes (June 2005) (pdf file, 326kb) has been produced by the North Norfolk Community Partnership, North Norfolk District Council and the East Norfolk Rural Transport Partnership.

Please contact Margrete Thorsen-Moore, Access Research and Development Officer at the Norfolk Rural Community Council, for more information on community transport in Norfolk - email: margrete@norfolkrcc.org.uk.
