The Awards

This category is open to businesses that have been in existence for no more than two years. Entrants will need to show how they have found their own niche in the market, how their ongoing operations will benefit the district (for example, offering a needed service, providing employment or raising the district’s profile) and how they have a sustainable business plan.
Agriculture is a mainstay of the district’s economy, and this category is for agricultural businesses that have excelled over the past year - whether they are agritech businesses that have helped improve yield and efficiency, farmers or co-operatives that have opened up new markets, or suppliers that have helped the industry improve profitability.
This category will celebrate businesses that are innovating today to help secure a successful future. Entrants will be able to show how they have introduced new ideas or working practices into their existing operations. This could include R&D or collaborations.
Tourism and hospitality is a key business sector in the district. This category will highlight businesses that, as well as being successful in their own right, have actively promoted the area and helped develop North Norfolk’s reputation as a premier tourist and visitor destination.
Businesses that enter this category will be able to show strong, sustainable growth and have a clear plan on how this will be maintained in the future. Businesses that have boosted their exports or have recently moved into or made significant investments are welcome to enter this category.
This award recognises the green pioneers and innovators who are leading the way in their use of environmentally-friendly practices. Applications can include the use of new technology, projects to improve sustainability and reduce an organisation’s environmental impact.
This award recognises local businesses which are working to raise aspirations, provide opportunities for young people and upskill their workforce. The award will look for examples of strong leadership, and innovative ways to promote the diverse range of career opportunities across the district
