Our HR team supports all functions of the Council that relate to our biggest asset – our employees!

Working in HR brings many opportunities for variety and career progression. Whilst the work we do can sometimes be challenging, it is also very rewarding.

Day to day activities include; recruitment and selection, learning and development, employee relations, contracts of employment, policies and procedures, complaints and grievances, employee rights and appraisals – each day is different!

A role in HR provides an opportunity to play a part in influencing decisions and promoting change and innovation of our services whilst continuously building close working relationships with all staff, supporting them in their well-being and career development.
