Revenue Services is a top quartile collector of council tax and Non-Domestic (Business) Rates in the country responsible for collecting in excess of £100m annually.
Working in Revenues brings many opportunities for variety and career progression. Whilst the work we do can sometimes be challenging and pressurised, it is also rewarding and will give you a sense of achievement.
The revenue service supports all functions of the council by generating and collecting the revenue which allows the council to deliver vital services to the most vulnerable in our communities, general public and tourists to our area.
Day to day activities include:
- Billing and collection of council tax and non-domestic (business) rates.
- Maintaining computerised records
- Dealing with varied customer enquiries via email, correspondence and telephone.
Working alongside experienced officers within the field, you will gain valuable work experience whilst completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
