The Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Housing Adaptation Officer Apprentice to work in the Integrated Housing Adaptations Team supporting the team to help adapt resident’s homes to enable them to live independently. 

In return you will be part of a dedicated team who support each other to work with older, disabled and ill residents across North Norfolk and will receive on the job training to support you to gain a Level 3 Technical Surveying (Building Surveying pathway) qualification.  Completing this course will require you to attend a workshop once a month, this is likely to require an overnight stay and attendance at the workshops is a requirement of the role.  This course will start in October 2018.

You will need to have the ability to travel independently preferably with a full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle or be willing to take and pass your test shortly after starting work.  The successful applicant will need to have 5 GSCE’s at Grade C (or new grade 4) including Maths and English.

*the rate of pay for apprentices aged over 25 is £7.83, for those aged 21 to 24 the rate of pay is £7.38, for those aged 18 to 20 the rate of pay is £5.90 per hour, and for those under 18 £4.20 per hour.
