Here at NNDC, we have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic people to join our Revenues Service as an Apprentice Revenues Officer. We offer training, qualifications, real life experience and the opportunity to “earn while you learn”.

You will be trained to deal with all aspects of the billing and collection of council tax and non-domestic (business) rates. This includes maintaining computerised records and dealing with routine correspondence, emails and customer enquiries over the telephone. It is important that you have a good general standard of education, IT skills and an interest in working in a busy office environment.

As well as gaining valuable work experience within Local Government, you will work towards completing a Level 2 and or Level 3 standard/framework Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory Baseline Personnel Security (BPSS) check, which includes a verification of unspent criminal records.

(*the rate of pay is for apprentices aged 21 – 24, for those under 18 the rate of pay is £4.00 per hour, and for those aged 18 – 20 the rate of pay is £5.55 per hour).

We offer employees a friendly working environment, flexible working hours, a career average pension scheme and take pride in achieving Investors in People Gold standard.

North Norfolk District Council is committed to equality and diversity in employment and encourages applications from all sections of the community.
