Here at NNDC, we have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Revenues Officer. We offer a wide range of learning and development programmes, real life experience and the ability to “earn while you learn”. We are looking for a motivated, self-confident person with well-developed communication and IT skills, with an eye for detail and who will take pride in providing great customer service.

During this apprenticeship, you will gain:

  • A technical and in-depth understanding of the billing and collection of Council Tax and Non-Domestic (business) Rates.
  • Experience in maintaining computerised records and dealing with varied correspondence.
  • The ability to respond confidently to customer enquiries via email, letter and telephone.

Working alongside experts within this highly technical field, you will gain valuable skills and work experience whilst completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in business administration.

Application Process

This will be a 3 stage application process. Candidates will only progress to each stage on successful completion of the previous stage.

Stage 1 - Application form

Please ensure as part of your application process you answer the following questions as part of your reasons for application in addition to providing details of your skills, experience and knowledge that are requested in the person specification and job description.

  •  Explain why you believe you would enjoy working as a Revenues Officer and as part of the Revenues Team
  • Explain why you believe gaining a qualification via the apprenticeship route is better suited to you than other forms of studying.

Stage 2 - aptitude tests

Candidates who successfully progress from the application form stage will be asked to complete online aptitude tests. Further details of these tests will be provided after the initial shortlisting has been completed.

Stage 3 – Interview

Candidates who are successful in the aptitude tests will be invited to attend an interview.
