Based within our Planning Department this post is key within the Planning Processing Unit (PPU) which provides technical and administrative support for the Development Management Section dealing with all aspects relating to planning applications.
The main duties will include the registration of planning applications, the provision of technical and administrative support to Officers within Development Management and assisting members of the public with general planning enquiries. You will also be required to validate new planning applications in accordance with national and local requirements.
We are seeking someone with technical knowledge of Planning Regulation legislation and who has good communication and customer care skills, together with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well in a team is essential.
