We are looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice for a 2 year fixed term contract for our Building Control team within the Planning department.

Through a programme of training and learning the post holder will acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to fully perform the role. 

During your employment you will be given the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge in all general administration duties within the Building Control and Planning team. There will also be opportunities to develop knowledge relating to the technical aspects of the Building Regulations.

As well as gaining valuable work experience within Local Government you will work towards completing an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.

It is important that you have a good general standard of education, strong IT skills and an interest in working in a busy office environment. An interest in Planning or Building Control would be desirable.

(*the rate of pay for apprentices aged 25 and over is £8.72 per hour, for those aged 21 – 24 the rate of pay is £8.20 per hour, for those aged 18 – 20 £6.45 per hour, and for those under 18 £4.55 per hour).
