Coastal Partnership East is a partnership of four local authorities, Great Yarmouth Borough, North Norfolk District Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Council delivering a resilient and comprehensive coastal management service. Whilst the partnership may only be a year old it is already recognised as a great example of how Maritime Local Authorities should manage their coastline. Recognised as an innovator in partnership working, we are evolving rapidly and we need an exceptional staff to complete our management team.
We are looking for a Coastal Engineering Assistant to support our coastal engineering team. You will have either completed or be undertaking either a Masters or BSc degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline). You will be creative, enthusiastic and a highly motivated aspiring engineering professional. You will need to be a great communicator, able to work with various groups including elected members, key stakeholders and the communities we serve.
You will have a minimum of a Foundation degree. experience of involvement in civil engineering projects and be aware of construction safety management. If you have an understanding of coast defence projects and the use of GIS then that would be an advantage.
