You will be positive, enthusiastic and forward thinking, with a degree in historic building conservation or related discipline with entitlement for membership of a recognised professional institute.
Conservation, Design & Landscape is a multi-disciplinary, award winning team, which is committed to protecting North Norfolk’s distinctive built and natural environments. Within this, you will offer specialist advice on building conservation and design-related matters and be involved in the management of nearly 2500 listed buildings and 82 conservation areas. You will also help deliver the Council’s program of conservation area appraisals and its conservation & design awards.
You should be conversant in the main conservation principles and have a sound knowledge of heritage legislation and guidance. A background in Planning, Architecture or a related discipline would be an advantage. The role will require you to have effective communication and negotiation skills which will enable you to engage with a broad range of customers.
