North Norfolk is an attractive rural District with a beautiful coastline, fantastic landscapes and big skies within easy reach of the fine City of Norwich.
Having a spectacular natural environment and an enviable quality of life doesn’t make the residents of North Norfolk District complacent about the environment and the climate change challenges we all face. Our recently adopted Environmental Charter demonstrates our commitment to tackling the climate and environmental emergency and we are looking for the right person to help.
At North Norfolk District Council we believe in working alongside our residents, communities and businesses on our journey towards a brighter, more sustainable future and we aim to do this through a variety of means including the delivery of public events, forums and workshops. As Environmental Events Coordinator you will play a key role in the organisation and administration of a series of activities which will promote the objectives of the Council’s Environmental Charter and will increase awareness of the climate change projects that the Council is implementing.
We would like you to join our team if you have the experience, knowledge, and skills to:
- Support with the digital administration, organisation and promotion of online, and face-to-face environmental events
- Confidently use virtual and web-based meeting tools and platforms
- Provide organisational and administrative support to enable the delivery of the Council’s Environmental Charter.
- Add enthusiasm and support to the dynamics of the new Climate Change and Environment team
- Increase awareness of climate change and the steps that the Council is taking to address it.
North Norfolk District Council is committed to equality and diversity in employment and encourages applications from all sections of the community. We offer employees a friendly working environment, flexible working hours, a career average pension scheme and take pride in achieving Investors in People Silver standard.
Please note that we do not accept CVs unless accompanied by a fully completed application form. Please send all completed application forms to HR@north-norfolk.gov.uk.
Please note, the successful applicant must have a stable broadband connection. At the moment, we’re all mostly working from home, however this is likely to change in line with government guidance, and as we review our news ways of working moving forwards.
