Living Well Officer – Health (2203)
Living Well Officer – Social Prescribing (2204) x 2 posts
North Norfolk is an attractive rural District with beautiful coastline, fantastic landscapes and big skies within easy reach of the fine City of Norwich. However, many of our residents need help to improve their health and wellbeing, including social wellbeing. These three new posts offer an exciting opportunity for the successful candidates to design and deliver new services which will improve people’s lives and make a real difference working with partners in the North Norfolk Early Help Hub and complementing the offer available from other services and providers.
As the Living Well Officer – Health you will work with residents who are of working age but unemployed, adults who require or who have applied for a Disabled Facilities Grant to adapt their home to meet their needs, residents who are isolated or lonely and residents who have a long term health condition or at risk of developing future health problems.
As the Living Well Officer – Social Prescribing you will work with residents who need help and support to manage issues in their lives which are having a negative impact on their general health and wellbeing in order to reduce or prevent the number of unnecessary consultations with General Practitioners and to reduce or delay future burdens on health and social care providers.
The ethos of these new posts is to use a person centred approach to support residents to identify their needs and find solutions which allow them to improve their health and wellbeing, this could be by accessing existing community groups or supporting the development of new community groups or activities. The new services will complement the forthcoming North County Council funded Isolation and Loneliness service and will benefit from an existing Early Help Hub based in Cromer.
If you want to be part of an enthusiastic and forward thinking team, with a varied and challenging workload - we would like to hear from you. In completing your application, please state whether you are interested in both roles or have a preference for the Living Well Officer – Health or Living Well Officer – Social Prescribing roles. Applicants interested in both roles who are shortlisted for interview, will only be asked to attend one interview.
