Our waste collection service is a cost effective way of disposing your household garden waste.

The Local Housing Enabler and Community Housing Delivery Officers will work together and will have access to a supportive planning policy and strategic housing environment and a dedicated revenue and capital fund to assist communities in the development and delivery of community led housing schemes.

As the Local Housing Enabler you will be the first point of contact for local communities wanting to accommodate new homes for local people and will provide information on local housing need and support communities to understand the benefits that new homes can bring. You will ensure there is an ongoing pipeline of housing schemes which are eligible for funding from the Community Housing Fund.

As the Community Housing Delivery Officer you will work with communities to help them understand the impact of second and holiday homes and develop a tailored response to the local housing need and other community resilience, cohesiveness and sustainability needs of the community, through the provision of new homes.

These posts offer a fantastic opportunity to provide communities with the knowledge and tools they need to develop housing proposals which will address the impact of second and holiday homes in some of the most attractive areas of Norfolk.

Both posts will work with communities within defined targeted areas. The Local Housing Officer post will work solely across the North Norfolk District Council area and be based at Cromer. The Community Housing Delivery Officer post will work across the council areas of North Norfolk, Kings Lynn and West Norfolk and Breckland and will be able to work flexibly across Council offices at Cromer, Dereham and Kings Lynn. This post will be employed by and managed by North Norfolk District Council.
