We are looking for a talented planning support manager with outstanding operational and people management skills to join our award winning planning department.

Your role will be to review the effectiveness of operational processes across the planning department and support the relevant managers and departments to design and implement changes accordingly. You will provide technical support to all aspects of the planning service ensuring that all planning and other related applications are validated and registered in accordance with legislative requirements effectively advising customers, agents and elected members on the validation process.

Managing a small team you will be responsible for the ongoing management of the department’s specialist software packages working closely with colleagues across the organisation to implement any recommendations brought forward from the Councils digital transformation programme.

With a customer first mentality you will develop and promote the department’s web services to ensure ease of access to information in order to improve services to customers and other users.
