North Norfolk is an attractive rural District with beautiful coastline, fantastic landscapes and big skies within easy reach of the fine City of Norwich.
This role will be based in the Environmental Health department in the Public Protection Team. The successful candidate will have appropriate training/knowledge of Health & Safety, Licensing legislation and enforcement to enable them to undertake regulatory activities as a key member of the team.
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant area of Environmental Health, or alternatively, an HND (or equivalent), together with a period of post qualification experience and training. Knowledge of enforcement including operating within a regulatory framework is essential.
You will possess good communication and customer care skills, together with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues, to work well both in a team and on your own initiative are also essential, as is a flexible approach to work. A full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is required.
Please note that whilst this post is currently a 3 year fixed term position, we have the intention to make this post permanent subject to the annual budget process.
