A by-election for a vacant seat at North Norfolk District Council was held yesterday, February 9, and the results were as follows:

Tony Lumbard (Conservative): 410

Marion Millership (Liberal Democrats): 649 (ELECTED)

David Russell (Labour): 41

Barry Whitehouse (UK Independence Party): 77

A total of 1177 ballot papers were issued, none were rejected and the turnout was 33.18%.

Following the election, North Norfolk District Council is made up of 31 Conservatives and 17 Liberal Democrats.
