There is still plenty of time for residents and the wider community to share their views with North Norfolk District Council about plans to build a multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art leisure and fitness centre in Sheringham.

NNDC's Full Council agreed to provide £10.7m of funding for the new centre to replace the existing facility, Splash.

Members of the public had the chance yesterday to learn more about the proposed facilities, view artist impressions of the current proposals, and comment on the design concept, site layout and overall impact of the proposed project.

Splash at Sheringham was opened in May 1988. A condition survey conducted last year highlighted an urgent need to invest in a new facility to ensure access to leisure services is secured for the future.
