North Norfolk District Council is set to start the major refurbishment of a car park in Fakenham, which will provide a high-quality facility for the town and its visitors.
The £80,000 project will see Highfield Road Car Park resurfaced. The car park is currently unsurfaced, so the end result will be a much-improved facility.
The work is due to start on Thursday, September 20, and is expected to take up to eight weeks to finish. As well as the resurfacing, the work will include new signs and a barrier at the entrance. There will be more than 70 spaces plus five disabled spaces.
Charges will be introduced once the car park has been upgraded, bringing Highfield Road into line with other standard car-park tariffs around North Norfolk.
