Update: Wells residents advised to leave unemptied bins out for collection
Crews working to clear the backlog

Date published: 9th April 2019
Residents in the Wells area who have not had their bins emptied as usual are being advised to leave them out while crews catch up.
The bin lorry that services the area has broken down, and all support vehicles are already in use elsewhere. As a result, about 150 bins weren’t emptied yesterday as planned.
Those bins will be collected as a priority today, but the knock-on effect will be that some of today’s collections will not be completed as scheduled. Again, these will be the priority for tomorrow morning before the usual Wednesday round is started.
Crews will be working to clear the backlog as soon as possible, but in the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience.
