On 17 December, Lady Agnew, the High Sheriff of Norfolk, attended a Full Council meeting at North Norfolk District Council to present awards to three ladies who went above and beyond in their daily lives to come to the rescue of a young man in his time of need.
Fiona Wolstenholme, Charlotte Wolstenholme and Sonia Jaggard all rushed to assist a young man, Oliver Kimber, who whilst swimming at Woodland’s Pool near Sheringham had become unconscious and slipped under the water. He was rescued after seven minutes by the trio who came to his aid. After retrieving him from the water, Sonia, who held a position at St John’s Ambulance was able to perform lifesaving CPR until the emergency services arrived.
On the recommendation of District Judge Woollard, the three heroes were awarded with certification from Lady Agnew for recognition of their services at the Full Council meeting at North Norfolk District Council.
The High Sheriff award they received was in recognition for great and valuable services to the community.
