North Norfolk District Council has been shortlisted as finalists in two APSE categories; Best Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship Initiative and Best Innovation or Demand Management Initiative.
This is in recognition of the success of our unique Goats on a Slope, including the utilisation of the Bagot herd for cost-effective vegetation maintenance and subsequent launch of themed merchandise, proceeds from which are re-invested in the project.
APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a non-profit networking community that assists local authorities who are striving to improve their frontline services.
The annual seminar will take place in Newcastle and the winners will be announced on Thursday the 12th of September.
Cllr.Sarah Bütikofer, Leader of North Norfolk District Council says: “I am delighted the innovative and creative approach taken by the team to solve an environmental problem has received such wide spread public support and is now shortlisted for a national award. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the team on the 12th of September.”
