The Council and our new contractor Serco are working closely to continue to maintain services during the current COVID-19 outbreak. While every effort is being made to keep all collection services running, we may have to make some temporary changes in order to maintain priority services such as refuse collection.
These can be checked by visiting our website and following our social media channels for service updates. Residents are reminded that the time of day that your bin is emptied may be different to normal as our teams are operating staggered starts in the morning to avoid contact between crews.
Therefore we ask that you put your bin outside the night before your collection date.
Please clean the handles of bins with disinfectant where possible before and after collection and wash your hands after handling your wheeled bin.
Residents who need to contact Serco, who are operating a customer contact centre on behalf of the councils, should use the new telephone number 0330 109 9220 or email on email@example.com.
