An Update on Cadent Gas work on Mundesley Road

The works on Mundesley Road, undertaken by tRIIO on behalf of Cadent Gas Ltd. are ongoing. Following a burst water main, there is a need to excavate the trenches. These will be hand-excavated as lorries cannot access the site around the weakened trenches. Due to the complexity and tight, restrictive access to the piping route, this has added to the timeframe of the project down Mundesley Road. Specialised welders are on-site to work through the complicated piping.

Phase 2 of works has been initiated to keep moving forward with the project and re-open North Walsham as soon as possible. The re-instatement of Mundesley Road is due by 24 February.

North Norfolk District Council’s Economic Development Officer is working with local businesses and Cadent’s website link has been updated and is now accessible again.
