Cromer Pier Re-opens for Summer Alfresco
With new alfresco dining areas

Date published: 14th July 2020
Cromer Pier has now re-opened and is looking forward to welcoming visitors throughout the summer. Cromer Pier is a historic and unique attraction on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, perfect for a day out with family or friends.
Pier General Manager Francis Guildea commented “We are delighted to be able to re-open Cromer Pier for the summer and can’t wait to welcome everyone back. We have been really busy putting extra measures in place to ensure all our visitors can return safely."
Tides Restaurant and The Pavilion Bar on Cromer Pier will be open for take-away and to dine in.
Brand new glass windbreaks have been installed to create new outdoor dining and drinking areas sheltered from the sea breezes to help guests enjoy the spectacular views and provide an amazing alfresco experience. In this most timely of launches, the new alfresco areas will allow the pier to offer a safer outdoor environment with social distancing made easier so visitors can enjoy a drink or a meal in the fresh air.
Cllr Virginia Gay, NNDC's Portfolio Holder for Culture and Wellbeing, said: "There's nowhere quite like Cromer Pier. It's a star in its own right and it's so good to know that it's open for all of us once again. Many thanks to Francis and his colleagues for all they have done. This really is the most timely of launches."
Both Tides Restaurant and the Pavilion Bar will be participating in the Governments “Dine out to Help Out” offer for all food and non-alcoholic drink consumed on the pier on Mondays to Wednesdays in August with a generous 50% off.
