'We're Good to Go'

As businesses throughout North Norfolk reopen their doors to customers in line with Government advice from July 4, VisitBritain, the national tourism agency, is offering companies the chance to apply for ‘We’re Good to Go’ certification to provide confidence to their customers.

Working in partnership with the national tourist boards for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the new industry standard aims to help businesses reassure customers that they comply with official public health guidance on COVID-19.

North Norfolk District Council’s official tourism partner, Visit North Norfolk, accredited by VisitBritain, is encouraging local businesses to apply for the certificate by following a free online assessment. The process helps businesses to have procedures in place to provide a safe experience for residents and visitors to the area.

North Norfolk District Council also supports safe shopping for residents at retail outlets and any other businesses that are now allowed to open under the terms of the Government’s COVID-19-related guidance.

The local authority’s ‘You Are Welcome’ campaign has seen us place street signs and pavement decals in towns across the district, encouraging shoppers to observe the appropriate social distancing measures while they visit, so they can keep themselves and others around them as safe as possible from the risk of contracting or spreading the virus.

Shops and businesses now have the opportunity to further reassure their customers that they have also taken all of the appropriate safety measures by applying for the ‘We’re Good to Go’ certification via the VisitBritain website.
