Date published: 8th May 2020
To mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, Chief Executive Steve Blatch and Leader of the Council Sarah Bütikofer met to lay wreaths at the Poppies in Steel memorial in the courtyard of the NNDC offices.
Reading the poem Mr Leather, by Patricia L. Cisco, Steve Blatch placed a wreath, paying respects on behalf of all the staff at NNDC.
Sarah Bütikofer read out an excerpt from For the Fallen, by Laurence Binyon and both observed a two minute silence.
The Leader then laid a wreath on behalf of all the residents in North Norfolk.
