December's Full Council meeting postponed

Date published: 14th December 2021
Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday evening about rising incidences of the Omicron variant nationally and rising case numbers of COVID locally, the decision has been taken to postpone the Full Council meeting scheduled on Wednesday Dec 15 2021.
An alternative date and arrangements will be announced early in the New Year depending on circumstances at that time.
Steve Blatch, North Norfolk District Council's Chief Executive: “For the safety of staff and members, it has been decided that this week’s Full Council meeting will not go ahead as planned. Council operations and services will continue as usual, but it is felt that with the increasing number of cases locally and the increasing spread of the Omicron variant nationally, it is best to avoid such a large gathering in one space and to postpone the meeting until the new year.”
Please note; the Development Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday Dec 16 will go ahead as planned, due to a much smaller number of required attendees and more practical implementation of preventative measures, such as social distancing.
Keep an eye on Council’s channels for further updates.
