NNDC Chief Executive on vaccination centres in North Norfolk

Date published: 5th January 2021
The District Council is in talks with local health partners about the Covid-19 vaccination programme in North Norfolk.
So far the only operational vaccination centre is at the Fakenham GP Practice, but the Council is keen to see more centres identified and opened by health authorities to offer vaccinations in other parts of the district.
NNDC Chief Executive Steve Blatch commented:
“With a markedly older population demographic in North Norfolk, clearly there are many people in the higher priority groups for potential vaccinations as outlined by the Government. These people and their families are naturally keen to know when they might expect to be able to receive the vaccines – and where.”
“We are in constant dialogue with our relevant local health partners, whose responsibility it is to co-ordinate and deliver the roll-out of the Government’s national vaccination policy here in North Norfolk and across the county. We have worked with them to identify a number of possible sites throughout the district.
“We look forward to more information about vaccinations and their availability to residents in our district being shared with us and the public as soon as possible.”
