The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010
On 21 March 2018, North Norfolk District Council will publish its revised Charging Scheme for Building Control (referred to as the Charging Scheme) prepared under section 3 of the Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010
The revised Charging Scheme will come into effect on 1 April 2018. The general effect of the revised scheme is an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that costs are fully recovered and the savings from not issuing an invoice are passed on if the inspection charge is paid in advance. The number of standard categories has also been reduced and simplified.
Revised guidance notes for domestic and commercial fee structures will be available on the Local Authorities website www.north-norfolk.gov.uk
The published Charging Scheme can be inspected Monday to Friday during normal working hours at the offices of North Norfolk District Council, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EN.
