Public Space Protection Orders: Review and Consultation
A consultation on dog restrictions on beaches and promenades from 29 March to 18 April 2021
North Norfolk District Council is currently undertaking a consultation for our dog control orders currently in place along the district's beaches and promenades. This consultation also includes a district-wide order, which currently prohibits dog fouling across the entire district.
The Council is required to review each of our dog orders every three years. In 2018 the following orders were introduced to restrict dog fouling and other dog-related offences.

The orders expire on 1 May 2021, and the Council is recommending extending them for a further 3 years.
Under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act (2014), the Council must undertake a period of consultation before implementing its decision.
