The latest information on how North Norfolk is responding to Coronavirus

Statement from Sarah Bütikofer, Leader of North Norfolk District Council

Leader of the Council, Sarah Bütikofer would like to address the residents of North Norfolk with some important information on Coronavirus (Covid19) and how North Norfolk District Council is operating in these uncertain times.

Good afternoon to everyone in North Norfolk

As we continue to move through these uncertain times caused by the Coronavirus, I thought it would be useful to remind everyone that at NNDC we are here to help and we do have a dedicated helpline ready for residents to call.

So if you need help with shopping or prescription collection – or you’re running out of pet food and are social distancing or shielded, then please call us on 01263 516000

Lines are open:

Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm

We know times can be very difficult at the moment and it’s our job to help you wherever we can.

We have also launched a telephone befriending service, so if you think somebody you know would appreciate a call on a regular basis to check they’re well in these difficult times, please let us have their name and number and we will give them a call.

Our teams in the business and benefits departments are working very hard to get all the grants out to people as fast as they possibly can; if you haven’t already claimed your small business grant and believe you’re eligible then please do so as soon as possible, we know this money is important to you and we want to get it to you as quickly as we can.

When you make your claim, please make sure the details you include are as close to the records we have on file as possible. Small changes can make a big difference to the speed in which we are able to make those applications, so please check and double check the information you’re providing us and we will do our very best to get the money to you as fast as possible.

Finally, I wanted to let you know next week we will be hosting a Question and Answer session. Further details will follow for how you can submit your questions and what time that Q&A will be broadcast.

Until next time, look out for the details, keep safe, protect the NHS and save lives.

Thank you
