A budget of £10.7m has been agreed by Full Council to build a new multi-million pound, state of the art, leisure centre in Sheringham to replace the existing 'Splash' facility.
The current plans for the proposed facility consists of:
- Main Pool,
- Small (learner) Pool with movable floor
- Splash Pad
- Village Change (WCs, Showers, Accessible facilities)
- Community Rooms
- Fitness Suite
- Multi-purpose studios
- Spin Studio
- Skate park
- Parking including disabled and cycle spaces
North Norfolk District Council invited comment on the early designs proposals at an event at Splash in Sheringham in March 2018 and via an online survey (this has now closed) to understand how you would use the new facility and areas that it might need to improve on before a planning application is made.
The latest mix of facilities, site layout and designs have been drawn up by the Council’s appointed architect, Saunders Boston taking this feedback into account and the most up to date information is available to view below, including a site plan, a ground floor plan and a first floor plan:
