Local groups reap the rewards from our North Norfolk District Council's Sustainable Communities Grant Fund.

North Norfolk Sustainable Communities Fund

More than £170,185 was agreed and awarded by the panel of the North Norfolk Sustainability Communities Fund to 26 community groups and organisations, supporting a wide range of projects between April 2022 and March 2023.

To date for this financial year, 2023 to 2024, more than £114,507 has been paid to 18 community groups and organisations.

The worthy local causes which benefited from the latest rounds of funding include:

Hindolveston Parish Council To purchase and put up fencing and gates for the play area, to purchase a storage shed and concrete base materials, and lay concrete base and site shed. £3,500
Stalham Broads Walking Netball Club Help funding for six months to establish the Walking Netball Club. £950

Barney and Fulmodeston Playing Field Association Contribution towards replacing the current sports pavilion at Barney Playing Field with an improved and sustainably sourced fit-for-purpose structure. £15,000

Suffield Village Hall To purchase and fit wooden double glazing to five windows in Suffield Village Hall. £3,500
Weybourne Parish Council Contribution towards the refurbishment of The Harry Dawson Play Field. £15,000
Holt Youth Project Contribution towards the purchase and fitting of two air source heat pumps. £15,000
Hickling Parish Council Contribution towards the Sustainable Teracycle Recycling Scheme. This is to provide bins and a bin store at a Parish Council owned and managed site in the centre of the village of Hickling. £935
Friends of Brinton Contribution towards the purchase and installation of a defibrillator in the Brinton Village phone box. £995
Trunch Table Tennis Club To purchase an additional competition table tennis table which is approved by the International Table Tennis Federation. £750
